Life is a precious gift.

"Life beyond the grave is as real,
and as certain as our life here."
- President Thomas S. Monson

Life is a precious gift. Unfortunately my mind has turned to death this past week for a couple different reasons. I have yet to experience the death of someone I have been really close to and I am dreading that day. I'm not sure how I will react or how I will cope with the feelings of loss.

The following video was mentioned in our sacrament meeting:

If you have four minutes, definitely take the time to watch it.

It is comforting to know that we can spend eternity with those we love, but at the same time, future happiness can do little to console us in present sorrow. I empathize with those who have lost loved ones. Particularly those who were seemingly taken "before their time". Knowing death is part of the plan, I subscribe to telling people I love them too much, never suppressing a generous thought, following promptings as they come, and living each day with purpose. <-- [of course I don't DO these things all the time... but I would like to :)]
