Yes, it is absolutely pitiful and shameful that I haven’t
blogged in over a year. No worries, I guess 2012 wasn’t meant for blogging.
2012 was by far the most eventful year for the Philipp fam thus far. Here’s a
short list of some of the bigger events in our life:
- New jobs for both Curtis and I (mine in January, his in September)
- Curtis graduating from BYU
- Curtis’ completion of internship
- Babymoon
- Family trips to San Diego, California (with the Lambert’s)
and Scottsdale, Arizona (with the Philipp’s)
- New grandchildren additions on both sides of the family (4
on the Philipp side and 2 on the Lambert side – Camden included)
- Moving out of Provo (it’s pretty much been home since fall
of 2005!)
- Pregnancy
- Birth of Mr. Camden Philipp!
Most notably, our darling blonde haired, blue-eyed boy
joined us in late September. Life has been nothing short of amazing these last
4 months.
Having a newborn in our home fills our days with wonder and
amazement. It is awesome to see him grow a little each day (even though I
secretly hope he would just stay itty bitty forever). By far, the best
milestones he has reached is when he started to genuinely smile (at 6 weeks)
and when he has started giggling/laughing (started about 2-3 weeks ago). It is
gratifying that we have become his world. I could never have imagined that I
could mean so much to one little person and that one little person could mean
so much to me. I can hardly fathom the amount of love I have for him. Sure,
there are days when he simply won’t go to sleep or is fussy for seemingly no reason…
but overall, being a mother is much better than I could have guessed.
